My method for creating a workable script for the comic was to go through the extract and to highlight and annotate what I wanted to use. The key I used for this was;
- yellow for parts that don't require editing,
- green for what I deemed unnecessary,
- pink for what I wanted to edit or omissions,
- and, blue for actions or stage-commands.
I decided to work like this because it allowed me to better edit the text, and in a way that was, to me, freer than writing a more traditional script. It was also easier to annotate the extracts in this way. Once I decided that my 'script' was cohesive enough, I started working on how to communicate the information in a way that wasn't visually uninteresting.
