Here are the initial drafts of my comic. They're incredibly rough and are a long way from the final outcome. My main goal in this early draft was to try and find ways to make depicting a conversation more engaging. The panel layout is incredibly rough and messy, and I didn't put much thought into dialogue placement, which is definitely something I aimed to improve in my later drafts of the comic layout. In my Project 7 presentation I expressed interest in working with film negatives, and trying to create a comic using film negatives, which I had originally intended to be the bulk of the comic itself. Due to restrictions in working from home (which includes materials limitations, and scanner limitations) the use of film negatives in this comic had to be scaled back. On the second page of sketches for the comic, there are sketches showing how I was trying to rework my use of film negatives in the comic. What I settled on was using them to illustrate events that happen in the narrative of the conversation which the comic depicts, and to create some of the panels themselves. These rough sketches are also not 100% accurate to the sequence of events I wanted.
